Studio Renovation is complete!
Hello again, it is so great to post that the studio renovation is complete and I am designing new jewelry. What a relief. This renovation took a ridiculously long time to complete but it was worth it. I love having giant, built-in cabinets along the back wall so that I, and most importantly my husband, no longer need look at every tool that I have accumulated. The studio still needs some art on the walls and perhaps a small coffee table in front of the sofa for visiting friends and clients. The sofa is the perfect place to listen to Headspace and take some time out. It is a peaceful space in the middle of Midtown.
This year I am turning my attention to working with larger gemstones and new designs that will continue to merge my love of the ocean and nature. I hope that this new work will be original, personal and important. There will be a redesign of the website coming too. It’s time to shake things up around here! Thanks for sticking with me and please remember to sign up for my newsletter . . . friends and family deserve a little extra love.
Rose cut sapphires (and a few other beauties) will be part of my new collection
Love love love the built in cabinets and meditation zone – needs some artwork
Still some beautification to be done but it is a great work space. Looking forward to Spring when it will be warm enough to open the doors to the terrace and work outside in the sunshine.
See you soon
Jewelry Studio Renovation
Hello friends, happy almost holidays! I can’t believe it was August when I last posted here. I thought surely our apartment renovation would be complete and my new jewelry studio would be up and running. How foolish to forget the first rule of renovation, double (maybe triple) any time forecast your contractor promises you. I don’t know how contractors get away with this behavior but they do. So this means that I am missing the most important selling time for a jewelry designer. While this is very frustrating I know that it will be worth the time and energy when I have my beautiful new studio space. My online shop is still open with the inventory that I have on hand. I hope that you will visit and perhaps find the perfect ocean and nature inspired gifts for the holidays.
Summer Love on the French Riviera
It’s August 1, the middle of summer, how did this happen so fast? I’ll be the first to admit that I have been much more of a traveler the past few months than a jewelry designer. I’m always sketching and looking for inspiration but my new collection is happy just wandering around in my head! So instead of jewelry I’m sharing a few of my favorite pix from our vacation on the French Riviera which surpassed my wildest expectations. I hope you’re out soaking up the sun and splashing around too . . . did someone say more Rosé . . .?

We are in a movie!
Very excited to share this lovely photo of gorgeous Dakota Johnson wearing our long silver arrowhead necklace in her new movie “How to be Single”! It’s a perfect necklace for layering and obviously looks great with a simple white t-shirt. Can’t wait to see it.

John Singer Sargent – A study of Hands
I had the pleasure of visiting the “John Singer Sargent: Portraits of Artists and Friends” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and am now completely captivated by the way he painted the hands of his friends. Beautiful stories to imagine and of course if there was jewelry even better.
